Community Directed Services

What is Consumer Directed Services?

The Consumer Directed Services (CDS) program enables individuals receiving services from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to hire and manage their care providers. Established by Senate Bill 1586 from the 76th Texas Legislature, this program offers
a voucher payment option, empowering consumers to make their own decisions regarding the delivery of personal care and respite care services within their homes and community-based programs. Are you looking for Texas home health services that can be self-directed
through the CDS program?

We offer a variety of Texas home health services that qualify for this program:

  • Primary Home Care (PHC)

  • Family Care (FC)

  • Community Attendant Services (CAS)

  • Personal Care Services (PCS)

  • Community Based Alternatives (CBA)

  • Deaf Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBMD)

If you or a loved one is a resident of North Texas and currently receiving services from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, you have the option to choose Ultimate Home Health Care as your self-directed service provider to meet your needs in any of these areas.
